They joined the top Provincial school teams in South Africa at Cape St Francis Resort in the Kouga Region of the Eastern Cape for the event. Racing in the Senior category for team Ubuntu, were Casper Venter, Danica Altenroxel, Jarryd Gosling and Reuben Middleton. The junior team, Badgers, was Benno Kotzé, Jethro Clowes, Lianke Fourie and Michaela Gosling.

The junior teams raced approximately 60 km in the event (5 km Kayak, 32 km Cycle, 20 km Trek) and the senior teams approximately 80 km (7 km Kayak, 50 km Cycle, 20 km Trek).

All three Stanford Lake College did exceptionally well, with team Ubuntu finishing in second place among the seniors in a time of 7h 17m. Tshanduko finished third among the seniors in a time of 8h 28m and The Badgers finished fourth among the juniors in a time of 8h 28m.

Well done to all the Stanfordians who participated, fantastic racing! A huge shout out to the vehicle sponsors, Trophy Toyota, for their continued support as well as Expedition North Polokwane for the sponsorship of staff shirts. Also a very big thank you to all the parents that travelled with the teams and helped during the race as seconds as well as Mr Haarhoff and Mr Fullard for all their support. Without you, this would not have been possible.
