One of the most distinctive features of Stanford Lake College is our excellent adventure programme, particularly in the junior grades. Surrounded by the inspiring natural beauty of the Magoebaskloof area, we use the outdoors as a powerful classroom. Through hiking, paddling, climbing, and outdoor challenges, our students develop grit, teamwork, self-awareness, and a profound appreciation for nature. These experiences are carefully designed to support our educational goals, instilling lifelong confidence and character.

Our membership of the Round Square organisation enables us to be a truly global school. Exposure to like-minded schools around the world creates opportunities for collaboration and generating debate and discussion, within our school and internationally, around issues pertaining to democracy, internationalism, environment, leadership, service and a sense of adventure. The exchange programme (driven through Round Square) gives our pupils the opportunity to travel the world, immersing themselves in foreign cultures and gaining a deep understanding of other nations.
